Putting Gentoo on ARM and compiling packages locally, making a full-fledged workplace - is it possible?
The question is. Gentoo compiles all packages locally, so you can install any package on an ARM microcomputer by compiling it from source? It turns out that you can take a microcomputer, connect a monitor to it and get a full-fledged workplace for low-resource tasks? Will there be such a problem that almost all software is compiled for i586 / x86_64 and therefore does not run on ARM? So, or am I misunderstanding something?

Not all software compiles under , so now all distros have a version for arm and you can see the list of software there
I dabbled in Linux on Chinese "whistles" on RK3066, RK3188 processors. You can't even watch Youtube there, and everything else slows down just terribly. I thought to use it as a simple desktop. But there the problem was with the lack of Linux drivers for video (on Android, everything works more or less) - maybe now something has changed dramatically ..
