I am creating a theme from scratch, in some places only the built-in methods of Wordpress are used (adding functionality to the admin panel). Do I need a description of the fact that this is my code?
Regarding comments, does the number of comments in the code affect the publication of the theme in Themeforest?
What are the main nuances of publishing a topic? What needs to be taken into account in order for the template to be accepted?

If you're only using the built-in WordPress methods "in places", then you're not making a template according to WordPress standards.
There is a very high chance that it will not be accepted.
Fortunately (for template buyers), envato has become more strict about coding standards lately, their requirements are in many ways the same as WordPress.
