Pros and cons of switching to the "mail on your domain" service?

What is better than your own (already working server) or mail on your domain from (Google, Yandex, mai.ru, etc.)?
Interested in potential threats, real pros and cons, examples from personal experience.
So what is the best service?
I have about 100 mailboxes of 15 GB, 7 domains.

With such data, I would use Yandex + exchage. Yandex will pass all letters through itself, and exchange will be the logic.
For you to understand, then in the dns you need to do this:
@ mx 10 yandex
@ mx 20 exchange
I did this. Everything was fine.
Google paid. Soap.ru did not use. I use Yandex.

Our company has moved to google apps.
From the pros: familiar interface, connection to mobile devices, google docs, disk, etc., catches spam well, no need to worry about backups.
Of the minuses: configuration restrictions, the simplest, for example, you cannot configure mail redirection from the admin panel, you just need to log in as a user and configure it there, and even then you can only configure redirection for one mailbox. They can cut down mail for any violation.

Mail on your domain from Google will cost you about $ 5000 per year
