Prompt a convenient text editor with syntax highlighting

It should have a command line and a simple file manager. I want to switch from using eclipse to something more lightweight, but I want to have everything in one program. Does such a thing exist?

I already found Sublime Text 2 for myself, but there is no command line (the one that is cmd.exe). Maybe there is a plugin?

Look towards Notepad++ .
With Light Explorer plugins and NppExec for example, you can achieve the desired functionality.

I myself use sublime text, though under the line. There, with tilda, there is no need for a built-in command line. But for such a high-profile editing project to not have command line extensions ... this is strange.

The feeling that half of the respondents read only the title of the question, but not its description.
The author needs a lightweight editor for Windows with a built-in native win-console.
And here vim, emacs, textmate, kate... I
join the proposal about Notepad++. Better, like, while there is nothing under the given requirements.

Kate has a built-in command line in Linux (one of the plugins), maybe Windows will have
a manual for installing linuxsam.org.ua/archives/3997

TextMate is no longer listed, hmm? :)

Above wrote about Kate. I also recommend KDevelop. Although it is an IDE, it is not very heavy. The editor is like Kate's, only the highlighting and auto-completion are more powerful.

Sublime Text
in general, if you need highlighting, then you may need not an editor, but an IDE, like PyCharm for Python ...

I can recommend Notepad2 .
