What do you think, is it worth studying at Russian colleges or is it worth studying on your own?

Security guys from films about hackers are applied specialists (programmers, administrators, networkers, etc.) with a focus on security. It's like accounting automation, primarily a programming specialist, but with a focus on accounting.
