Productive VPN on mikrotik?
Kind.
There is a central OpenVPN server under FreeBSD. Mikrotik (RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN and RB951G-2HnD) are connected to it as OpenVPN clients (about 20 pieces). In this implementation, I am not satisfied with the implementation of OpenVPN in Mikrotik, namely Unsupported:UDP & LZO compression. And as a result, very low speed (I have a maximum of 8Mbit with a 100Mbit channel)
I look towards IPSec, but I have never used it.
Tell me who uses IPSec on Mikrotik. What speeds can you achieve, what kind of rake?
Thank you.

mikrotik vpn speed = processor frequency / number of connections x degree of encryption
according to the collective farm. but clearly makes clear the price category of the device required for encryption
8 Mbps with encryption for 2011 and 951 are normal numbers. Take CCR1009
IPSec at 1100AH up to 250 megabits, but there is hardware acceleration.
In general, a great thing - IPSec, especially in conjunction with GRE
Mikrotik RB/951Ui-2HnD
10 megabits maximum. At the same time, CPU utilization is 100%
