Problems with saving svg: extra height, problem fragment with gradient.?

Hello, I'm trying to save 2 images in svg from illustrator for use on the web, each has its own problem.
1) Extra empty space appears vertically, the image itself remains centered. And the catch is that this shows up in relatively old browsers. What parameters should be tweaked when saving? Can get into the file itself and pay attention to some attributes?
2) There is an image that has elements with a gradient. In some places, closer to the contours, it begins to lighten to white. And as I understand it, because of this, this part is not always visible in the browser, it is simply shown every other time. What could be causing this illumination?
