Try disabling extensions / userscripts one by one, maybe one of them connects css that conflicts. To get started, stupidly turn everything off, restart your browser and see what happens.

the laptop itself has the same trouble, the zoom does not solve anything (the problem of line truncation remains, its scale just changes - that is, the scale of this cant). On stationary everything is fine. On the laptop, you have to switch to the extended reading view and scroll tediously.
