Problem with vcenter 5.1, what should I do?
Good afternoon!
The situation is as follows:
There are 2 vcenters: 5.1 and 6.5
An ESXI host (with an EMC2 rack connected) was connected to vcenter 5.1.
It was turned off and physically replaced with another server (the same IP was registered - the name is different).
After the replacement, a new host has been added to vcenter 6.5.
From the old vcenter 5.1, the old host was not immediately removed.
The virtual machine with vcenter 5.1 was rebooted.
After that, I have the following problem:
when connecting to vcenter 5.1 via vSphere Client, I see the old host in the disconnected status.
At any attempt to interact with it in any way, the session is disconnected in the vSphere Client.
If you do not touch it, vSphere Client does not immediately throw it out. I assume that at the time of polling a disabled host.
There is access to vcenter 5.1 via SSH or via VMware PowerCli. There is access to embedded db vcenter 5.1.
How to fix the situation? How to remove old host from inventory of old vcenter 5.1?
PS When connecting via PowerCli and running Remove-VMHost, I get disconnected from vcenter 5.1 with an error:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Many thanks in advance for any advice and help!

It looks like the object in the old center was damaged. It seems to me that there is only a risky way - to stop the services of the old center and try to manually kill the host object in the old database. Of course, there are no guarantees, maybe on the contrary, in general, the old center will collapse, but it will still be a little worse here - it doesn’t work properly anyway ...
