Problem with Debian archive mirror?
During a graphical install of Debian 8.3 (network installer, netinst CD) stopped at configuring the package manager, does not select a mirror. I've already tried a couple of dozen mirrors (didn't specify a proxy, left the field empty) but they all give an error
Problem with Debian Archive Mirror
An error was encountered while trying to use the specified Debian Archive Mirror.
Possible reasons for the error: Wrong mirror selected; the mirror is unavailable (possibly due to network problems); non-working mirror (for example, due to the wrong Release file being used); the mirror does not support the desired version of Debian.

This is a network issue, not a mirror issue.
Install the minimum system, then set up the network and install the rest.
Many firmwares in Debian are non-free, so they can't be on CD.
Another option: download the package with the required firmware in advance and slip it to the installer during installation. For details, see the installation guide (offsite; everything is described there).
