Problem starting REACT-OS?

Has anyone been able to install/run ReactOS on real hardware rather than from a virtual machine?
I tried to install it on different machines or simply download it from a LIVE-CD: I never got to the “Desktop” exit on any computer.
Maybe it's just me being so unlucky?
Or maybe ReactOS has limits on the maximum memory size (like Windows 98)? On my computers there were at least Gigabytes (and there was no way to reduce it).

I could be wrong, but maybe React OS only supports IDE devices.
If the CD-ROM, for example, is connected to the mainland via SATA or the hard drive itself, then there may be problems.

To successfully run ReactOS at the time of May 2018, you need to make sure that the following things are absent or completely disabled :

  1. UEFI
  2. USB3.0
  3. Any webcams
  4. Multichannel\HD sound cards
  5. Simultaneously installed several any sound cards.
