Possibility to create a keyboard with symbols?

Greetings. Faced with the need to create my own keyboard for android devices. In it, in addition to standard letters and symbols, there will be my signs. Approximately 40 pieces (like hieroglyphs). What do I need for this? I also want to implement my font for PC. As far as I know, it's enough to "draw" it with a vector. In short, I don’t know anything about these issues at all, tk. didn't even think about it
