Position control (capture) of mouse cursor in html5?
Applications in flash or java, being a special area on the page, allow you to completely hide the mouse pointer and keep the focus in your window even if its real coordinates go beyond the boundaries of the page or even the browser window. This is true for 3d shooters when the direction of view is controlled by the mouse.
Is this possible in pure html5?
I have not yet found any means for this at all, and those who have already tried to make 3d shooters based on html5 canvas have not solved this problem either. I couldn't formulate the appropriate request in bugtracker chromium and firefox, perhaps this feature has already been requested?

In pure html5, without Java or Flash, such an afaik is impossible. You can only hide the cursor by setting it to a completely transparent icon (see docs ).
Flash also does not allow you to lock the mouse. Link to a similar question.
Try digging into the sources of quake2-qwt , they somehow implemented it. If you find a solution, please let me know!
