Porting SLES 11 SP2 to Hyper-V?
I need to migrate SLES 11 sp2 to Hyper-V (Win 10) and would like to know how to set up my VM. Which generation to choose: 1 or 2? VHD or VHDX disks? IDE or SCSI controller? Something else? SLES 11 is old and I'm afraid that if I choose the newest options in Hyper-V, then not everything will work well. For example, IBM writes that SLES 11 sp2 is not friendly with VHDX disks https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/vhd-disks-not-vh... -sp2-vm-under-hyper-v- ibm-system-x3690-x5-7147
