"Portfolio" JS Frontend developer. What is it?

In the course of learning the language and trying to create my first "projects", I realized that in theory it would be nice to upload them to some kind of conditional github and later demonstrate them as a kind of portfolio.
The question is whether it is worth loading such projects or whether to do something more serious initially and already replenish your portfolio with it.

As an employer, I need employees who can solve the problems that my project sets.
And it’s easier to understand if you can do this at an interview than by analyzing your portfolio.
Now, if the code you posted solved some of the specific tasks of the project, and at the same time a significant one, then it would make sense to consider you as an employee.

Very often, experienced people have an empty github: we write for money, and not for fun.
