Port de-energization. Is it possible to remotely re-insert the printer to USB?

Remotely deleted the printer, now when searching for devices it is not detected even as an unknown device. I remember that locally this is solved by pulling out and inserting the cable into USB, or by switching the printer on. Is there any chance to perform the operation remotely under these conditions?

RDP, Windows XP

The power supply on the USB controller, if my memory serves me right, can be pulled programmatically only in Linux. Unfortunately, it's not possible on Windows.

Try USB Safety Remove , it allows me to locally “replug” the device, though with all the others that hang on this hub.

1) delete the INFCACHE.1 file (http://www.masterlin.ru/2011/06/20/ustrojstvo-usb-ne-opoznano/)
2) reset ports via command line and DevCon (http://support.microsoft .com/kb/311272)

Have you tried restarting the remote computer?

To be honest, I've never done this, so I don't know. But I would try updating the hardware configuration in device manager .

Try disabling the usb hub in the same task manager, suddenly it will turn off the power.

If 1. it's really necessary, 2. there are no USB devices that should work smoothly (what if the computer is connected to the network via a USB whistle?) I would delete the USB controller in devices and do a full rescan of devices. I don't know if it will help, but I would try that. As a last resort, send the computer to reboot (shutdown -r -t 10).

I would try "Control Panel" - "Install Hardware" - "Next" - "Yes, the device is connected" - "Next" - "Add a new device" - "Next" - "Install equipment manually selected from the list" - "Next " - "Printers" - "Next" - "Use port" (select the port where you had the printer) or "Create a new port" (here you can also connect over the network if the printer is visible on the network) - select the driver and try to print test page.
