Poor performance of Qt Quick on Windows?

Good afternoon, I decided to get acquainted with Qt Quick, assembled a simple helloworld and was surprised at how unpleasantly and noticeably the interface is redrawn every time the window is resized or moved. This is fine? Is QML really supposed to work on desktop?
