No need to commit to the master branch. Create a developer branch and commit there. Then do Pull Request master < developer and merge branches via github to your master. And as I already understood, your local master branch lags behind the master branch in the github turnip. Therefore, you need to download all the changes. Also, don't ignore the advice above. Directly in master in all normal projects, only the first commit is made, then everything is done through PR.
