How to fix incorrect display of CP1251 encoding in GitHub Desktop?

All project files were initially saved in Cyrillic encoding (Windows 1251). The desktop application from GitHub incorrectly displays Cyrillic at the Compare stage when comparing deleted/added lines to files. The option "save files in UTF-8 encoding" is obviously not suitable for me, because I cannot build the project if some of the files are saved in UTF-8 encoding. What can you advise?
