Plagiarism or not plagiarism?
Good afternoon.
Together with a small group of like-minded people, we are planning to create an aggregator of very specific topics.
All the logic is already there, everything was thought out for months, but then we found the same service with very similar functionality, but it is very poor (the potential is far from being fully disclosed) and our idea will be much more interesting to customers.
The question is, what can be the reason that our service will be very similar, and in some moments identical with the existing one?

This will be called healthy competition.
Which essentially improves the quality of services.
And legally:
1) You didn’t steal anything from them, you have your own developments and you can show them.
2) Did your colleague patent the idea? Probably not, because it's pretty annoying. So you can generally patent and present to everyone "undesirable")
