I read a long time ago that using php as fastcgi you can use several servers with FastCGI PHP for load balancing. But the question crept in, on which side will file operations work where lighttpd is running (well, or another server running through FastCGI), or is it still where FastCGI PHP server is running?

light can, for example, read itself without php in order to give statics
