Photoshop won't open JPEG (via "E")?

What's the catch? Changing the extension from JPEG to JPG does not fix the situation. Paint perfectly opens and edits such pictures. Viewer, browser, anything opens - but not photoshop. Pictures from various sources.

The dumbest way, flip the picture 90 degrees in the viewer, save and rotate back and save again. Don't worry the turns go without recompression.

Use a HEX editor to see what format is inside and rename the file extension

Try exporting via XnView to the format you need, ACDSee etc.
