Photoshop vector coloring, what tools to use?

Hello, I started to master vector drawing in Photoshop, I ran into a question, I was looking for an even sensible video on YouTube.
How to decorate vector images correctly, I try to make peanuts, until it comes out, you can see that there are blackouts in the corners, somewhere lighter, etc.
I also tried the gradient in the vector, it works, but not everything can be implemented by them, as in the picture.
Brushes cannot be used, because the object must be made raster and then you can draw.
Here is an example: (how to decorate like that?)

The vector in Photoshop is very limited and inconvenient. Do everything vector in Illustrator and don't even suffer. If necessary, a vector from AI can be linked or exported to Fsh.
A vector in Photoshop is an object to which you can apply standard effects and from the tools for working with it, in fact, only a pen and an arrow.
And they didn’t find it on YouTube simply because no one does it. Fsh is raster, and in AI a complex gradient can be made even with the same mesh tool.
