Phone on the site-shop?

Online store. One person, no more needed. You need to add a phone with a virtual number. I have always been interested in how small shops, especially those that sell internationally. market, they cope with such situations:
* I sit having lunch and bam and - a call "does product N support feature M"?
* I walk along a noisy street - another call
* I sit in the toilet - another call
* I decided to take a nap during the day - a call that I may not hear
* at 2 o'clock in the morning - a call. For example, I'm in Moscow and they call from Vladivostok
* at a doctor's appointment - and a call
Even if they don't call often, it's all the same - the problem is less, but it remains. I, too, will not sit all day at home in a quiet room and wait for calls.
Hiring someone to answer calls is not the right moment.
Then you still need to call back if you missed a call.
And if there are 2-3 stores?
How are people coping?
The question is not about "do I need a phone on the site or not."

Miracles don't happen.
Or the store owner is on the phone around the clock, wake him up at least at night - he knows everything by heart.
Or his managers are on duty around the clock.
Or he pays an external call center for services.
Or the phone is turned on only during business hours.
Simple:
They work in shifts.
In fact, you exaggerate the number of calls.
If there are a lot of them, then the store definitely has money to hire someone.
But as a rule, there are very few calls when there is no money.
