Permanent ssh break. How to eliminate?

constantly when you connect via ssh it works then it throws
you have to constantly connect
there can be a config setting to constantly connect
and not manually

turn on, when not working, constantly sending a command, such as top or ping

If you're SSHing on Linux then the client has a setting:
Host *
ServerAliveInterval 300
ServerAliveCountMax 2
