PC won't turn on when HDD is connected
There is: PSU 300W, mother KT600A - 2 IDE screws are connected, everything works fine, I
disconnect the IDE screws, connect the SATA screw, the result:
Everything starts spinning, exactly 1 second and everything goes out, after that the power button does not work, you need to de-energize for a few seconds, after that it turns on again, but again for 1 second.
At the same time, the sound of acceleration is heard from the screw, and at the second stage of acceleration, a shutdown occurs.
On another PC, the screw works fine.
The dilemma - it cannot be that the PSU can withstand 2 IDE screws, and 1 SATA cannot withstand ... or maybe? But how then to explain it?
PS For SATA power, I connect the screw through an adapter from an ordinary IDE power supply.

Maybe it's in the loop? Maybe you have it connected incorrectly somehow?
New screws can easily “eat” more than the old two, but it may well be that the problem is not in nutrition. Two not very difficult tests will help to determine more precisely the cause.
1. Turn on the Sata screw power, but do not turn on the information (SATA) cable. If the computer turns on and shows the BIOS, then the power is hardly to blame.
2. Connect the power supply of the screw to another unit and turn on the power supply unit with the screw one second before the main one. This can be done simply by placing another case next to the PSU or taking only one PSU to close the gray and green wires from it (similar to the motherboard signal that the PSU should work). If with additional power the screw starts up normally on a new computer, then I think you will draw your own conclusions.
Both tests are completely safe, but the second requires a lot of additional body movements.
But is there no way to connect hdd sata 2.5 "? So you could probably check the interface, since laptop screws eat less. It's also worth changing the power adapter, maybe this one is short. Or just plug in an adapter without hard.
I thought that the PSU was not holding the load, turned off the processor power (12V), the same story - the PSU turned off.
Some kind of mystic. The impression is that the PSU does not support the dynamic load in the form of a running HDD engine.
I myself am not new to computer hardware, but this is the first time I see this.
