PC upgrade, which path to take (buying a new computer)?
What do you advise? I sat at a laptop for a long time, but this piece of iron was already very outdated and decided to replace it.
90% of my time I work from home. I mainly deal with the web (PHP, JS, Python) + database. Sometimes you want to play.
Budget 250k.
Options:
1. Take a MacBook / iMac. It's worth saying here that I used Macos a little and the first thing I didn't like was window management, after win / lin it's not convenient + the system itself is closed. Although I may not have tried it.
2. Get a gaming laptop. In general, there are gaming laptops (this is marketing)?
3. Assemble a bakery.
How long will the device last (out of these 3 options) based on the purchase for this budget.

1.) Good pieces of iron, but the price tag is high. (but high quality) To have like 2 pieces of iron is just a victory.
2) If from home, then you can consider the bakery immediately.
3) The bakery, of course, will turn out the price, quality - compared to other options.
Mine for 3-4 years, but it depends on what kind of iron will be. For games, you definitely need a bakery, especially if you are fond of new products.
If you work from home and play, mobility is not needed, the budget allows, then 3):
A good monitor, or a couple - designers, economists, technologists, we use 2 at once, and are extremely satisfied.
Familiar OS and programs
Complete freedom of choice of stuffing.
"Installment" is possible: first buy 1 monitor and, say, a system unit without a vidyuhi. Then buy.
There are gaming laptops, but they cost a percentage more than a PC with the same characteristics, which is quite understandable - stuff powerful hardware into a limited volume! If there is no need to drag around there with a laptop, then buying it is just an overpayment for something that you will not use.
I usually try to take the top-end iron in terms of the current level, so that it lasts for 6-7 years, no upgrade, of course, is already possible by that time, only a complete replacement.
Play + 90% at home - definitely a hospital.
21:9 widescreen monitor, normal keyboard and mouse, normal components. Even top-end laptops are still weaker than less-top desktops. Plus, they need to be cleaned regularly.
For change 13 "laptop to work on it on the road. 13 - to be more comfortable to wear.

PC, and for change, take a simple compact beech for 10% of work not from home.
Macs are very nice and 16 rams are there, like 32 on ubuntu. But the modern miniatures they have is 128 disk, 8 memory. A shame. Wait for ARM and plop here you need padowan.
A gaming laptop is a little slow memory and throttling processors. Just enough to play. However, there are projects where all this will be easily gobbled up, especially memory. For example virtual machines.
All that's left is the bakery. Many processor cores, a lot of memory (more than 32) with overclocking (3600+).
