PC freezes, especially when loading HDDs?

I am turning here because the full potential of diagnostics and googling has been exhausted.
There is a PC, relatively old, it has two not so old hard drives, WD and Seagate.
Symptoms: sometimes unpredictably freezes tightly. Both Windows (7 and XP) that are installed hang. And in safe mode too.
The easiest way to simulate is by copying files. When copying to any (!) Of the hard drive, it freezes almost at the beginning.
I checked the memory, everything is ok. SMART of both hard drives are good, I checked them, they don't seem to be falling apart. Especially not both at the same time.
Or can?
Or is there something else that I missed?
I just don't know anymore...

Most likely PSU + Motherboard

Most likely the mother.
Still, for remote diagnostics - without laying on hands, tell me the model of the mother :D

I also think the motherboard. Tell me, do you have SATA screws? probably yes. It is the south bridge that pulls all the sata ports. You can try to work on the IDE disk, but this does not solve the problem. The easiest way to change the motherboard and percent. And cheaper, too.

Alas, the "working" SMART is not always shown on a working disk - I have also encountered the opposite. Moreover, the hangup occurs explicitly when performing a disk procedure (copying files). So I propose to check the screws by replacing (you can take turns).

I had the same thing (it hung tightly for 30 seconds), it turned out to be in the hard drive. As soon as I changed everything began to work without any complaints.
