Passive income on your project. Reality or myth?
Good day.
The fact that a web developer can earn well (and even very well) both in the office and remotely has long been clear to everyone.
But from the very beginning, when I was just mastering the web, I was wondering - is it possible to create a resource with information, guides, videos, etc., etc. on a variety of topics, which will eventually generate income from advertising (banners, links, articles...)???

It is best not to spray on the subject. If everything is about everything, then you will have to compete oh, how hard it is to compete with the "How" "Ask a question" sites, and it will be more difficult for the search engine to rank you. If you already mentioned guides, then a good example is gaming-themed sites that monetize them with the help of CPA (pay for reg or upgrade to def.lvl). Videos are, respectively, through YouTube, and there are their own advertisements, etc.
But passive income is a myth spread by unfortunate infobusinessmen.

You can't be completely passive.
Any product must be supported, otherwise it will gradually give away users to competitors.
There are people who can honestly say - yes, my project brings $500+ ???
