Partitions on the SD card are not deleted. What's the matter?

SD card, 32 gig.
I uploaded raspbeian, booted up, worked, pulled out the power supply, next time it refused to boot, /etc/inittab is garbage.
I try to remove partitions using fdisk, gparted - deletes, no errors. But sections remain. I try to delete and create a new fat32 - writes overlap partitions.
I work from under Linux (Mint)

Disk /dev/sdc: 31.5 GB, 31460425728 bytes
64 heads, 32 sectors/track, 30003 cylinders, total 61446144 sectors
Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x0009bf4f

   Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdc1            8192      122879       57344    c  W95 FAT32 (LBA)
/dev/sdc2          122880    61446143    30661632   83  Linux
