Partition resizing in Linux. How right?

Hey!

I have a separate 20 GB Ubuntu partition at the very end of the disk. Very soon it began to run out of free space. And I decided to add another 10 GB.

Next, I free up 10 GB BEFORE, boot from the Ubuntu 21.10 install stick, launch the Disks app, and try to Resize the last 20 GB partition. For some unknown reason, this option is not available.

Then I:
1. With the help of the same Disks, I save the partition image to another disk.
2. I delete the 20 GB partition.
3. I create a new partition Ext4 30 GB.
4. I restore a previously saved image to it.

But here's the problem. In Disks, the 30 GB partition is now visible. And in the conductor is still 20 GB. (15 busy, 5 available)

What did I do wrong? And most importantly: how to do it right? And how to fix it now?
