Today I walked around Yandex and noticed on the right in the search line, a button to reset the entered text.
Then I looked at the exchange rate. And I saw the same reset buttons, but in each field.

In this connection, the question is, how does Yandex do it, resetting the text separately for each input?

The simplest is a normal div offset over input with click event handling via JS.
