OSRM. Why is the distance calculation result different from the demo server?
Good afternoon.
I installed osrm-backend locally, downloaded the latest map, when extracting the map I specified to use the car profile. Everything seems to be working, but when comparing the calculated data, the distances obtained differ from the data from the demo server.
Query: 127.0.0.1:5000/route/v1/car/24.062317,49.807669;24...
Result: 618.4
Query: router.project-osrm.org/route/v1/driving/24.062317...
Result: 1619.6
It seems that by default it should be calculated for a car, but the impression is that the calculation is for a pedestrian.
Maybe something needs to be adjusted, or maybe someone will tell you in which direction to dig.
Thank you.
