OS X Lion and Samsung monitor not HDMI friendly?
This disgrace looks like this: the
globalmenu (or whatever it is) goes off the screen, the dockbar creates a loop from below.
Specifications:
MacMini server MC438LL/A, OSX Lion Server, GeForce 320M video card.
Monitor Sansung t240HD, resolution 1920x1200.
The cable is a regular HDMI cable, I tried several different ones.
On Apple's support they don't say anything worthwhile, only like, "buy a cinema display and everything will be fine with you."
If you change the resolution to 1080p, then hell happens, how to hook up to the TV (high contrast, faded colors) and there is no treatment at all.
DVI-D works okay, but I have a tablet connected to the displayport, so it's not an option.
I installed all the updates, I did not find a separate driver for the video card, only Cuda. I tried to create my own resolution in SwitchResX, it only got worse, as a result I had to rearrange the axis.
It works fine only after resetting PRAM, or on any other operating system (Windows, Ubuntu).

Foolish advice: what if you take an hdmi -> DVI adapter? Leave hdmi on the computer side and use dvi on the monitor side? Or vice versa, plug the tablet into hdmi through an adapter?
Well, firstly, I will not have sound, =) which is no longer pleasing, and I specifically bought a cable for the tablet displayport to dvi-d.
In general, there is an option, yes, buy hdmi mom on dvi-d or vga dad and plug it into the monitor, plus an audio jack, or buy yourself normal speakers ... but for now it’s easier to reset Pram every time.
Your picture is off, but I'll try to help.
Connect the TV via HDMI so that you can see at least something.
In the TV settings Format - original (or do not scale, depending on the TV model) this is necessary so that the TV defines mac as 16: 9, but apple has its own idea of \u200b\u200bthis format, so it's better that the TV set does not know about it.
Then switchresx will help you - you can customize any resolution with normal colors to suit yours.
