OS X 64-bit and applications

My friend has OS X 10.7.5 (on a macbook) and he ran into a strange problem - the system itself is 64-bit, and during installation, Adobe Prime decided that it was 32-bit and refused to open files larger than 2 GB.
Is there actually a solution to this problem?

And is it worth checking whether the system works in 64-bit mode? On 10.7, as far as I remember, this is information about the system in the software section. And forced loading of the 64-bit kernel, hold when you turn on the buttons "4" and "6" or as an option with the console)

Well, for starters, run Utilities->Activity Monitor and see if Prime works in 64bit mode.

32/64 has nothing to do with it. There was once a bug - the prime minister did not want to open files larger than 2GB with balls. It was like that. And tying the file size to the processor bit rate is not entirely correct.
