Organizing cables in crossover racks?
Please tell me the recommendations and standards (if any) for the correct organization of patch cords in switching racks. Now we have about 200 cables in each cross-connect, no one is familiar with cable management, it turns out a real hell. Google unfortunately didn't come up with anything.
Thanks in advance.

Disconnect everything one by one, rewriting the port numbers from both ends, and then connect it back one by one, putting it neatly in the organizers. Each cabinet will take several hours. You can use patch cords of different colors for the date and voice - it's very convenient for clarity. Or different colors for different vlans - it will be easier to pull out the necessary devices in the future. All IMHO

The problem of a “beard” on the cross usually arises after multiple re-communications of patch cords, when you need to do it quickly and there is no time for beauty - as a result, after some time, you get a complete scribe. At one fine moment, in order to put everything in order, you just need to re-commute everything again, at the same time make up the switching table for the cross-country :) And although it will take quite a lot of time, the result is worth it. Color differentiation of patches is possible not only for the date and voice, in a 40+ unit cabinet 2 colors are not enough - you can make a division by floors, even / odd, etc., for which there is enough imagination, the main thing is to document and adhere to all this.
