OpenWRT how to give names to a large number of clients?
Asus RT-N66U has OpenWRT installed (DD r48135).
I’ll make a reservation right away - WiFi is not defeated.
The choice fell on OpenWRT because of the possibility of visual control over the availability of the main and backup provider through Luci + mwan3. The non-release version (DD r48135) was chosen due to the presence of adblock in its repository.
Mwan3 and Adblock are set up.
More than 25 clients may appear on the network, and I would like to identify them all by a friendly name. I chose the simplest way - I assign static addresses and MAC names in Static Leases . With 20 records, everything lives, and with 23 - DHCP is turned off and DNS disappears. Where to dig?

I would dig towards debugging and logs.
From your post it is not clear what is used as dhcpd and dns server dnsmasq/odhcpd+named
It is also unclear when the daemon crashes and whether it crashes: at the time of start with a large pool of static hosts or when connecting more than 22 clients.
strace might be of some help too.
Is the network allocated with sufficient capacity? Maybe /30 there. Whether dynamic addresses intersect with static ones and the dynamics "runs over" the statics.
Clearly somewhere misconfiguration or glitch in the demon.
Is there enough memory? Is it a faulty memory?
