OpenStreetMap(*.osm) to *.xls easiest way?

OpenStreetMap

There is a large *.osm file from which you need to extract the coordinates and one more value and push it into an excel document (3 columns). Can you tell me the easiest way to do this?
Ideas, suggestions, maybe someone has already done this?

wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Osmconvert The fastest thing that can output to csv, among a host of other things.
I used it in conjunction with wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Osmfilter to parse the entire planet and generate csv with POI selection by filters. I don’t remember the exact timings, but osmosis wasn’t even close in terms of speed.
