OpenPGP: The Bat! versus OSX?
I transfer employees from The Bat! v. 4.2.36.4 and its internal module OpenPGP (RFC-1991) on OS X 10.7. Since GPGTools in the latest version still does not work well with Mail, Thunderbird + Enigmail was chosen. When exporting keys from The Bat! there was a problem with the encryption algorithm: IDEA. This algorithm was patented and was not supported for a long time in open projects. Now, after the expiration of the patent, a fresh build of MacGPG2 supports this mode.
Checked in the Terminal, the message is created using IDEA. But when importing keys from The Bat! secret key password mysteriously doesn't match! At the same time, in The Bat! the password is correct. I tried to change the password to some other, simpler one or vice versa. OS X does not accept a password from an exported key.
If someone came across - what could be the problem?
