OpenFoam on ubuntu or windows 10?

Good day.
I had a burning desire to learn OpenFoam, but as I understand it, it is actually only on Ubuntu (is it installed on Windows through an emulator?)
And since my laptop does not have enough power for heavy calculations, I'm interested in the question:
In terms of performance, where is better? To put ubuntu and work in it or the difference will not be noticeable?
And at the same time, I wonder if there is a difference in performance in Blender and Matlab on different operating systems?

In Windows, a bunch of ever-eating services. Linux is better in this case, but I also advise you to look for the right distribution.
And at the expense of performance, it all depends on how you will use the software.
