Online store from scratch for a beginner

Evaluate the sequence of steps to create an online store. What didn't I learn? confused what?
1. Registering a domain name
2. Buying hosting
3. Installing a CMS system
4. Buying and installing a store template (as I understand it, this is a design)
5. Filling the store with your own texts, goods
6. SEO
7. Launch (what is meant by launch? what are the steps and procedures include?)
Clothing store, designed for wholesalers (b2b), goods in the store will be up to 100 units.
The function of this store will be - familiarization with models and placing an order, payment via the Internet is not provided (at least at the beginning). after placing the order, the manager (that is, me) will send the payment to the client on the left e-mail. Possibility of purchase without registration, subscription to news, callback request, filtering of goods.
I have no experience in programming, 5 years ago I administered a site on joomla, I know English at a high level.
as cms consider joomla or wordpress. What do you recommend best for my needs?
or is it possible to install opencart or magento (without installing cms)?
With such a scheme for creating a store, is it possible to get all this without other people's advertising banners?
how to check your site (template, cms, engine) for security? so that it doesn't send spam.
Thank you

I will write my action plan, which I have already used more than 5 times, it allowed me to launch a b2b online store in the shortest possible time (2 weeks).
1. decide on whom the domain will be registered (for a legal entity or for a physicist. This is important, because in the future, for example, you may need to install an ssl certificate, it can only be slaughtered for a legal entity, and other such things)
2. I register a domain and I buy hosting (so as not to bother myself, I buy everything in one place, buy hosting and they give you a domain as a gift for a year
) I'll look under which version it is adapted, and put the engine of the desired version.
4. then I proceed to install all the necessary modules (improved order letter, callback, improved admin panel for product management, etc.)
5. prepared information that visitors will see (description of site sections, products, photos, price lists, contact information, etc.)
6. test the entire site and test purchases.
7. SEO optimization and work with the Internet environment around the site (social networks, directories, links).
all.

It makes no sense to pay for hosting and domain until the project is ready. Since time is on their trail. payment will start ticking immediately, but they will not start working. + as I understand the knowledge gap you still have is not small for the creations of the most, which means that development will take no small amount of time. This is already a waste of money.
It is better to start development on a virtual server, on your computer. (in almost all lessons on CMS development, the lesson begins with the installation of a virtual server)
If you just install the template on a CMS, then I think you will be surprised that it still does not look like in the picture (and it will). Since you will have to connect, arrange and configure the modules yourself. + configure components and plugins If you do this, then look for templates with a quick start, since this is a ready-made template site and there already, I think you will figure it out, since you have experience in administration.
Other people's advertising banners, this is only on the designers and then not all, there is no such thing on the CMS.
But in general, a store is much more difficult to launch than a blog. Consider not going the "on your own, but for free" route.

If you buy a template directly from developers, preferably trusted ones (such as themeforest.net), then most likely there will be no malicious code there, which cannot be said about "download a template for free without SMS". For a high-quality template, the kit usually comes with instructions on how to set up the CMS so that the site looks the same as in the picture (well, or close to it).
Joomla and wordpress, although they have modules that turn them into an online store, but still they are not, and it’s better, indeed, to use opencart (I’m for it), prestashop and other CMS, which are initially positioned as online stores .

You missed "setting up a legal entity" in all this.

Better take Opencart - it has a huge Russian community and sharpening for our realities (Payment gateways, documentation, etc.).
I once made a shop on WordPress (with the Woocommerce plugin) - I won’t advise anyone else to use such flour.

It is best for you to use some kind of saas solution that does not have problems with hosting, cms, etc. Everything will be set up and installed for you there, pay only a small amount every month and you will be happy. I can advise insales.ru, ucoz.ru

Bravosell is ideal for your tasks .
In terms of functionality, it implements the task of working with wholesalers.
1. You can create an unlimited number of customer groups, wholesalers
2. For each customer group, you can specify your own prices in two ways:
- specify the total discount percentage for all prices.
- specify prices individually for each product
3. To see your prices:
- your wholesaler must register on the site, or you can register it yourself directly in the admin panel.
- you add an already registered wholesaler to the desired group with the desired discount
- the wholesaler logs in on the site and sees his price
4. For each wholesaler, you see the sales history
5. The wholesaler has a personal account in which he sees the order history with their statuses, as well as possible order comments from your store
6. It is possible to print invoices directly from the admin panel
7. it is possible to maintain purchase prices goods and see the profit for each order and for the desired period.
There are plenty of other useful features as well.
A general overview of some of the features is presented here:
bravosell.com/en/bravosell_main.html
You will also not need the following steps:
2. Buying a hosting
3. Installing a CMS system
4. Buying and installing a store template (as I understand it, this is a design)
Regarding SEO, the sites on this CMS are very well optimized and there are a lot of flexible SEO settings.
A special plus is that the system is constantly improving and you get all the improvements automatically.

Hmm, it looks like it's someone else's list. I think it will be difficult to move beyond the second step without any experience.

Try to look at the article " Fundamentals of organizing an online store ". Maybe this will help you make the right choice. It seems to me that your approach to creating IM is not entirely correct. You think it's just building a website, but it's not.

For starters, I think you should try www.merchium.ru, it's free and functional. This is a saas solution.

Points 3 and 4 can be combined if you choose Bitrix as the platform for your online store. Why Bitrix?
1. Lots of Bitrix programmers. You can always find a contractor to install, modify the template to suit your needs.
2. The cms itself is evolving and strives to comply with local laws. For example, 54 Federal Laws on cash desks
3. A large number of templates , some of which are free.
4. The ability to quickly integrate with CRM, for example, I would not try Bitrix24
Saas solutions. First, it's hard to migrate from it. Secondly, development opportunities are limited.
I do not recommend free CMS for serious business. You can try to know.
