On which HDD can I change the disk in the RAID controller?
Good afternoon,
there is an HP ProLiant DL160 G5 server, with a hardware raid controller LSISAS1064E.
It has two SATA 250GB disks, a mirrored RAID1 array has been created.
Question: what disk, if necessary, can be replaced by one of the
disks in the raid array? Is it adequate in size?
I could be wrong, but the distributor seemed to say that they needed exactly the same ones.
In other words, if you put just the same volume, will the controller be able to
work with it normally (after all, the characteristics of the disks may differ)?

You fell into slavery to HP and their hard drives. Even if the "left" drive works with this controller, you will most likely lose your warranty.
As far as I remember, the new disk should be no less than the old one. I had blue WD in my HP ProLiant ML 350 G5, then WD RE.
