We have nothing but Bookmate. And in Bookmate, for now, only publishers can publish + there is no way to set a price. Are there any alternatives? The main requirement is that readers on any platform can be allowed to pay and read the book in a copy-protected environment.

True, the price there is such that the game is not worth the candle: hardly anyone wants to buy a book for 80 euros!

If the book is technical and interesting, you can try contacting www.piter.com. They will even pay for the copyright, and print it themselves, and they will sell it themselves.
