On Android, a firewall is used that works over vpn. When distributing the Internet via Wi-fi, connected devices do not have access only to DNS. How to decide?
Good evening. I use one of the android firewalls available in the market. It works through a local vpn, through which all traffic is "listened" by the firewall.
Everything works fine, except for the distribution of traffic. When distributing from a phone on which this firewall is installed, devices connected via wifi do not have access to dns. Moreover, any IP addresses from connected devices are available (including those that are not listed in the whitelist). But there is no access to dns - transitions to any domains fail.
In which direction to dig?

in Android, for distributing VPN traffic to other devices, starting from the 11th version, there is a function in the settings. In all other cases, distribution requires root and an appropriate program like VPN Hotspot.
