OctoberCMS - Is it suitable as a basis for a web-studio?

Interested in the opinion of those who chose this CMS as the basis for studio projects (upd1: to replace Joomla and WP, i.e. there are many projects). What can be a rake and dirty tricks. Those. Now, for example, in our studio, Joomla is taken as the basis. Of course, other CMS are also used, depending on the tasks, but the main array of tasks is business card sites and business portals. Joomla certainly copes with this task, but it's all very "ugly" in terms of development, maintenance and scaling. I really liked October, it resembles MODx but is more functional and elegant, it contains the power of Laravel, etc. But for some reason, there is very little information about this CMS, Russian-language forums are half dead, it seems that this CMS is not trusted. If there are people who have chosen it and use it effectively, please clear my doubts!
upd1: For those who did not understand or misunderstood, I will explain further:

  1. I have been working in a web studio as a programmer for a long time, I am not going to open my own web studio, and even more so I am not trying to brag about something! Please do not try to humiliate me for my question, I'm sorry if I hurt someone's feelings!
  2. I just want to hear the opinion of those who are already working with OctoberCMS, TO NOT waste time, because this resource is for this, to help each other or not?
  3. We already use Joomla, WP, Bitrix, HostCMS, MODx, etc. choosing the right CMS for the tasks.
  4. For complex orders, we use Laravel.

Just the same, Laravel pointed to OctoberCMS, in the development of which, by the way, our compatriot Alexei Bobkov participates. I'm only interested in the opinion of those who have taken this CMS into service in a real battle, and are doing working projects on it. What did you have to face in practice and what are the nuances?

I will answer in essence:
October will be an ideal option for you, considering that you are already working with Lara.
Junes enter one or two. A bunch of plugins, ease of development, clients enjoy the admin panel.
Well, the Builder plugin is my favorite. Works just miracles. It is somewhat similar to Pods for WordPress.
With it, the pipeline development of typical functionality (for example, business catalog modules, gallery, poster, etc.) turns into a three-click copy-paste. And given that everything done can be exported as plugins and installed in October via Project ID, this is a real paradise for a web studio.
So for small-medium projects, I strongly recommend it.

If you ask such questions, then you don't even need a web studio. Work for a couple more years.

I don't do projects on this CMS, but I worked with it. I found out about her 2 years ago. It is now little known, as it is in beta testing. Soon, as far as I know, there will be a release. For beta testing it they have developed this cms well. The code is chic, the functionality is chic, the appearance is chic and convenient. Eyes rejoice when you work with this cms. You can make the same business card sites, practically without getting into the code, which is very convenient and cool. Yes, and the big advantage is that it's made in Laravel. I repeat: the release is coming soon, and they have already done everything well. After the release, I think there will be many more cool things. Therefore, I advise you to at least try to make a couple of projects on it. If everything really works out well, then why not take it to develop your orders?

For a web-studio, you need to have at least a top three CMS leaders, preferably a top five, of course. And a couple of frameworks) Well, of course, if you have more than one programmer in your studio
Already choose what you need for a specific site, somewhere wp is better, somewhere open-cart

She is one of my favourites. Along with the recognized leaders (VP and Zhumla) and getsimple cms for landings, well, a couple more (but I didn’t dry up in any case, and I don’t need it in a nightmare).
If you have cheap orders that do not need to be scaled to portals in the future, then October is quite suitable. This is a modern product that takes into account many details that you would otherwise have to saw yourself.
Therefore, advisers who advise using frameworks can safely answer that you will use it - Laravel, which is one of the market leaders today.
Quite a good choice! But, of course, it is worth understanding which of the tasks this particular tool is suitable for. If you mainly have business card sites and business portals, then October may be a little inappropriate for such tasks, too cumbersome for the former (there is no need for such code and backend redundancy!), And too lightweight for the latter (it will not be convenient in the end for content managers).

Web-studio that does not know which cms to use, what's next? Meatpacking plant that asks how to slaughter cattle?
ps Why do you need a CMS? Get a better framework.

Depends what you are doing. The classic studio is the development and advertising for commerce. Bitrix/Modx/Wordress and a good merchant.

The most ordered ones are: Wordpress, Joomla, Bitrix... But 2-3 frameworks will be quite enough for the studio...

OctoberCMS This is a CMS that is made by one person, but is open source and offers support for a Fee in extreme cases. I would choose her, because. it is not common and the client will come to you to finalize the site, he will be on the needle + there are a lot of plugins and themes, and with other CMS he will go to freelance and there I will make him 10 times cheaper, but not from October, I myself chose Lara and I watched on this CMS, there are few specialists in the Ru segment who work with this and almost a few are freelancing

I must say right away: I have not worked with OctoberCMS and I don’t know how good or bad it is.
But I wouldn't bother with it, or with other insufficiently popular CMS. Bitrix, Drupal Worpress would be limited.
1) The CMS should have regular updates, including security updates. According to the previous author, October is supported by one person. Suppose they find a vulnerability in it and start exploiting it, and the CMS author gets sick, goes on vacation, is too busy and does not release a patch on time, will you fix the hole for all clients yourself?
2) The CMS must have a good active community so that in a difficult situation there is always someone to consult with.
It is not even necessary to consult, at least google in case of some problem, what is the probability of finding a solution to your problem in the search engine for October and for Drupal/Joomla/Worpress.
Compare the activity on the October forum and, for example, on the Drupal forum.
3) As for the opinion: "But the client will not jump off, because there are no specialists in OctoberCMS"
Keeping a customer with a specific technology is the last thing. If the result does not satisfy the client, then he will spare no expense to remake the site again, but having learned from bitter experience, this time he will order on Joomla / Drupal / Wordpress, so as not to depend on a specialist / studio. And in the future, it will still be cheaper for him. No, of course, there may be individual cases where millions are invested in the site, but it brings billions, and every gesture is a risk. But this is an exception, and such sites are written either from scratch or on a framework.
I don't want to say anything about OctoberCMS, maybe it's reliable, fast, scalable. But until it becomes mainstream, you should not build a business on it, except to play around for yourself. However, this also applies to other CMS, widely known in narrow circles.
