Not unique content on the site and what to do with it?
Colleagues, such a question: there is an online store in which, in addition to goods, there is a separate section for articles. At one time, this store was stupidly filled with non-unique content, now there is a process of writing unique articles and adding them to the site.
Should old articles with non-unique content be demolished? They definitely do not positively affect the issuance in any way, but can they influence negatively, provided that unique content is present on the site?

No, they will not have a negative effect. You check if there is at least a little bit of traffic going to them, if they are in the index. If there is no index and traffic, and they are useless for visitors, then you can simply delete them. If there is an index and traffic, then you need to leave it. It is possible to write unique content in place of non-unique content, leaving the same URL, although this is completely optional.
It is easy to check:
1) If, according to any position monitoring service, the page does not have a single position
2) If there are no visits to the page for the quarter
3) If the page has no impressions and transitions in Google Webmaster Tools, then the
page is clearly considered garbage and it is either delete or merge with another page, making one good one.
