Non-standard problem: digital noise (beep) of the usb microphone when recording on macbook pro 2019. What should I do?
Hello! Faced a problem in which experienced sound engineers could not help.
Microphone: RODE NT USB picks up sound, with digital noise. I record through an adapter: usb to type c. I tried to write in logic, audacity, garageband - the problem is the same in all programs. Changed adapters, did not work either. Disconnected from charging while recording, nothing changes.
I noticed the only difference is when you use different programs or insert headphones into a mac, the noise changes, becomes homogeneous, or vice versa with fluctuations.

This has nothing to do with the MacBook or the programs.
This is an external usb sound device, it has its own ADC, and no noise can affect the USB channel itself so that it somehow manifests itself in programs. There can be 2 reasons:
1. USB power pickup (+5V PWM power in a laptop works this way, or something else gives a pickup to the USB power line). Here you can try adding an external power source to the microphone itself by turning off the power from USB (if the circuit allows, there may be nuances).
2. The very circuit of the microphone and the ADC is such (or just a malfunction of the ADC), which gives noise. There is no way to fix this, most likely, change to another device.
