Licenses for software and other works
LinuxGod, 2022-02-06 18:49:44

Non-free software licenses?

We have a small startup, we write proprietary non-free software, we do not open source codes and only the copyright holder can use this software.
Which closed (non-free) free license should we choose for our project?

For example, if (God forbid) the source code is leaked to the network - users have seen that this source code is fully covered by this license, as the property of our company.

ISC ?
A license is not a magic spell in the language of elves (although when you read it it looks like that), it is simply a message from the owner of digital and not only property to his customers, how you can use it and what you can / cannot do and expect.
Why is a license needed? to cover your ass, literally... the no-microwave-drying clause came about because of this.
The license may be one sentence, but will it work as expected?
read the answers , the first thing I found on the topic in Google
and yes, a high-quality license agreement can cost a lot (in the sense that you have to spend money on a lawyer) or you can take some product with a license that suits your spirit and text and use it as the basis for your own, it seems that no one else is for this punished.
