Nokia N9 GPS

Who knows, will the N9 have a full-fledged GPS or is it still A-GPS?

full-fledged GPS or all the same A-GPS

With all due respect, but for how long? ;)
Once again, A-GPS (Assisted GPS) is simply a technology that speeds up the "cold start" of a GPS receiver, which can take quite a long time in the case of a standalone GPS receiver. That is, A-GPS (Assisted GPS) implies that the device has the same "real" GPS that receives data from satellites, as in any normal navigator, but other communication channels (cellular 3G, Wi-Fi - mainly for the Internet ) can provide assistance (and therefore Assisted) to a GPS receiver to speed up its “cold start”, as well as to correct the location if additional information about the location is available (by cell towers, by Wi-Fi access points, etc.), which is sometimes true, for example, indoors.
If you pull out the sim card from the iPad 3G or iPhone (just an example of devices with A-GPS) and turn off Wi-Fi, then GPS will not stop working :) - only the standard Maps application will not be able to download a new section of the map in Google Maps (because there will be no Internet access), and the search for it will not work. However, these problems will not be relevant for third-party applications that either know how to cache the map (this can also be checked using a jailbreak), or it is stored locally in them (for example, applications for car navigation).
