No manufacturer's drivers for Ubuntu?

Hello. I would like to try to switch to Ubuntu from Windows, but there are no drivers for Ubuntu on the manufacturer's website, although there is a subsection, and my model laptop (Dell Vostro 3568) can be found for sale bundled with Ubuntu. Please tell me what should I do in this situation?

The drivers come "in the box" with the Linux kernel.
here, for example, the contents of the package of additional kernel modules linux-modules-extra-generic
, everything that is in the kernel / drivers directories is just kernel modules with specific code for a particular hardware - in the common people of the driver :)
in Linux, in general, everything practically comes in a box along with an operating system - in the form of a repository.
there is almost everything available, for this operating system, software, and plus with updates.
although, of course, Linux support from hardware manufacturers is weaker :(

You put a bubuntu and don't worry, the drivers are in the box

In linux, and in particular in ubuntu, there is no such thing as a driver, at least you need to look for something and install it an order of magnitude less often, and often it is not required at all. It is in windows that a driver is installed for each flash drive ...
Almost all hardware is supported by the linux kernel, and if there is no support, in a simple version this is a death sentence. There is no practice of binary drivers as is customary in windows, because a binary driver in the form of a module is tied to the version of the kernel for which it was built, often a lot depends on the kernel version, for example, the versions of libraries and utilities associated with it, in general, like a snowball, You can read how the owners of all sorts of raspberries and other arm soc boards toil, due to the fact that manufacturers violate linux licenses and clamp sources, there are no normal drivers for video acceleration.
If this hardware is even sold with ubuntu, then you don’t have to worry about drivers at all, install the standard iso and that’s it.

I'll add to other answers. If some piece of hardware does not start out of the box, for example, let it be WLAN, you can look for a proprietary driver for the desired OS on the website of the hardware manufacturer.

Install bubuntu.
And start dancing a jig and looking for firewood when something really doesn’t work. In most cases, everything starts "sparks". Especially if the laptop is sold with a bubunta.

Ubuntu already has all the normal drivers. But personally, I had to additionally install drivers for the nvidea geforce video card on Samsung. Which came by default with the OS clashed a little with the hardware (in some games the “full screen” mode did not turn on, after the sleep mode the laptop did not always “wake up” and there was something else). But it was still an old laptop, the memory was only 1 Gig, and the Ubuntu 12 version only flew on it, later OSes worked with a creak.

Run from a flash drive to make sure that all the firewood is there))). And there, according to the situation, either install, or reboot back into Windows, Google knows how to make a bootable USB flash drive
